The Patmore Ash (considered a Green Ash) makes a good selection in either an urban setting or to produce shade and some great fall color for the backyard. Fall color is a bright, flourecent yellow that will bring attention to it no matter where it is in a yard. As with most Ash, it is tolerant of wet soils, but will also tolerate droughts. This tree is also adaptable to moist soil conditions, be it clay, loam, sand, acidic or basic (alkaline). If you are in areas where ash borer beetle is a problem it is recommended you be on a regular spray schedule to prevent tree damage. Imicloprid (Bayer Complete Insect Control) sprayed twice a year will prevent such problems.
